What We Do

 

  1. PUBLICATIONS

    KRC publishes books and reports in Kachin, Burmese, English languages on issues related to Kachinland studies. A peer-reviewed research journal, ‘Kachinland Research Journal’ will also be published annually.

  2. RESEARCH ENGAGEMENT

    KRC also engages with public lectures, annual symposium, and seminars. KRC works closely with local actors, communities, schools, and a wide range of stakeholders at home and abroad in our attempt to bring engaged critical research into public debates.

  3. BUILDING DATA BANK

    We believe that, as a research center, having a credible data center compliments a strong social science research. One of our mission goals is to build a comprehensive databank on Kachinland studies. Our archive team is continuously assembling data bank from both primary and secondary sources.

  4. CONSULTANCY & TRANSLATIONS

    We also provide consultancy services on policy-related issues to both public and private sector stakeholders. We also provide quality English-Burmese-Kachin academic translations on Kachinland-related issues.

  5. RESEARCH PROJECTS

    KRC conducts research projects based on the thematic issues related to Kachinland studies. These thematic issues are selected annually or bi-annually to reflect on the current social, political, and economic conditions of the region.

  6. RESEARCH TRAININGS

    Research Methodology trainings for CSO/NGO workers, social workers, and students are also provided. (Academic research, participatory action research, and policy research)
